Our Mission at Power ~ Passion ~ Purpose, Inc. is to support underserved underrepresented women who have endured trauma and / or domestic violence. Helping them heal, love & thrive through and after trauma. Equipping, encouraging, & empowering them with the necessary skills, tools & resources to transform their lives and provide economic self-sufficiency.

Per Texas Domestic Violence Statistics of 2020 Harris County accounted for 41,300 almost doubling the next county of Dallas with 22,136. 25.8% of the total number of reported Family Violence Incidents in Texas.
The numbers from the Texas Council of Family Violence are staggering:
- Harris County saw a 40% increase in domestic violence homicides, from 2019-2020
- In Texas, there was a 23% increase over the same period.
- Family violence homicides in Texas grew by nearly 80%, and more than half involved a gun.
- Houston Police said strangulation calls increased 130% in the first year of the pandemic.
Data shows that Northwest Houston has an estimated population of 303,409 women.
Service population has limited access to resources, supportive services, a way out.
Nearest Domestic Violence shelter is over 20 miles away from servicing area.

OUR HISTORY

Power Passion Purpose Inc., a faith-based nonprofit organization was established 2016 in Los Angeles, California and is now located in Houston, Texas (2021). The mission of Power Passion Purpose is to support underserved women who have endured trauma and/or domestic violence with a holistic approach by providing the necessary skills, tools, and resources leading to a life of safety and economic self-sufficiency. Power Passion Purpose will also provide 24-hour safety net services and ongoing after care services. Power Passion Purpose works closely with our local community collaborators, law enforcement, counselors, and social workers to ensure the women have a safe passage out. Ultimately, Power Passion Purpose Nonprofit’s mission is to help the underserved community of Houston, help stop the cycles of trauma, and/or domestic violence, and provide a safe way out.

Power Passion Purpose Nonprofit is located in the Northwest area of Houston, Harris County. Per Texas Domestic Violence Statistics of 2020 Harris County accounted for 41,300 almost doubling the next county of Dallas with 22,136. 25.8% of the total number of reported Family Violence Incidents in Texas included wives, common-law wives, and ex-wives. 143 Texas law officers were assaulted during the course of responding to a domestic violence incident per the report.

Power Passion Purpose currently has an expansion project ongoing to secure a facility that will allow phase II (phased out transitional housing) and phase III (intake to employment resource center) of the organization to open. The facility is a former two-story office building (includes restaurant) with twelve model homes on the property, a warehouse, and a cooking school. The first floor of the office building will be renovated to include a yoga /meditation space and a salon.
